In the fourth quarter of 2021, the performance of the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps in Panama revealed interesting trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads. Starting at approximately 6.8K downloads at the beginning of October, it reached a peak of around 8.5K by the week of December 20. Weekly active users for this app hovered around 55K to 60K, with a slight upward trend towards the end of the quarter, peaking at about 60.4K in the same week of December.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a decline in weekly downloads from early October to the end of December. Downloads dropped from about 9.9K in mid-October to approximately 3.8K in the last week of December. However, active users showed a steady increase, starting from around 31.1K in late September and reaching up to 39K by December 20.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash had a significant drop in weekly downloads from early October, where it started at around 7.6K, to a low of approximately 325 downloads by the end of December. Active users saw a peak of about 11.5K in late November but dropped to around 8.3K by the last week of December.

Uber - Request a ride maintained relatively stable weekly downloads throughout Q4 2021, with numbers ranging from about 1.5K to 2.8K. Active users for this app consistently remained high, fluctuating slightly but staying within the range of approximately 116K to 125K.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed steady weekly downloads, generally hovering around 300 to 500 downloads. Active users for this app remained relatively stable as well, with minor fluctuations around the 5.5K to 6K mark.
